50 Places to Launch Your Startup — Because Building Is Only Half the Battle
You can build an incredible product, solve a real problem, and still struggle to get your first 100 users.
The uncomfortable truth?
Great engineering doesn’t automatically create distribution.
I’m Alex, Founder & Chief Architect at FoundLab, where we’re building auditable trust infrastructure for AI-driven systems.
As we work through our go-to-market strategy, I’ve been mapping launch communities, discovery platforms, software marketplaces, and AI directories.

The part that actually matters
I wouldn’t recommend submitting blindly to all 50.
Different channels serve different purposes:
- Product Hunt: Launch momentum and early-adopter feedback.
- Hacker News: Technical scrutiny and substantive developer feedback.
- Indie Hackers: Founder relationships and distribution lessons.
- AI directories: Category-specific discovery.
- G2 / Capterra: Software evaluation and buyer discovery.
Not all platforms operate as free or instant submissions. Requirements, costs, and listing availability need to be checked individually.
My approach is to treat distribution like an engineering system:
Channel → Qualified attention → Product engagement → Conversion → Learning
Measure what works, eliminate what doesn’t, and double down on channels that bring actual customers rather than vanity metrics.
A question for the AI Lounge community
For founders who have already launched AI products:
Which platform actually brought you paying customers — not just traffic, upvotes, or impressions?
I’d love to hear real experiences, particularly from founders building B2B AI infrastructure or developer tools.
And if there’s a launch platform missing from this list, drop it in the comments.
Let’s turn this into a useful distribution resource for the community.
