Wayve
Wayve, a London-based company founded in 2017, builds a vehicle-agnostic embodied-AI driving system that runs on onboard compute and sensors, with no HD maps. It licenses the software to automakers (Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis) and to mobility platforms (Uber). In 2026 it raised about $1.5B in a Series D at an $8.6B valuation, backed by Eclipse, Balderton, SoftBank, Microsoft, Nvidia and Uber. Wayve-powered Uber robotaxis launched in London in September 2026, and consumer cars with Wayve's AI Driver are due from 2027. The company has about 1,000 employees across London, Silicon Valley, Stuttgart, Herzliya, Vancouver and Tokyo.
