Digital Science acquires Jenni AI, adding its writing tool to Dimensions research data
The announcement gives no price. Jenni AI says more than 8 million students and researchers in 189 countries use its writing and citation tools. Dealroom reported that the platform had passed $10M in annual recurring revenue. Digital Science will link Jenni AI to Dimensions, its database of 171 million research publications, so that suggested sources trace back to the published record. Jenni AI plans to add that data over the coming months, starting with full text search across the database. For builders, the deal shows that verifiable citations and grounding can be the core product of an AI writing tool. A data owner now sits behind a product that competes with general assistants. The price was not disclosed, so no multiple can be drawn from this sale.
