Dataline raises $10.6M to supply trusted data for AI agents
Dataline, a decentralized data network for AI agents, announced a $10.6 million round on October 31, 2026, through a GlobeNewswire release. Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital co-led the round, and the AI fund Symbolic Capital participated. Other backers named include Coinbase Ventures, Anagram, a former CFTC head, and people tied to Robinhood, Venmo, Anchorage, NEA, General Catalyst, Jump Capital and FalconX. The Block first reported the seed round on October 21 and said Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev also invested.
Agents pay for data per call using the x402 protocol, and anyone can publish a feed and set its price. Each response carries an AI-generated confidence score covering source reliability, freshness and consistency, so agents can reject weak inputs. According to The Block, the network currently covers about 50 data sources, and providers will need to stake tokens when submitting data after the token launches. BloomingBit reports the round was structured as a SAFE with token warrants, signed in April. No valuation or revenue figure was disclosed.
According to The Block, the first AI Data Launch group includes Hyperliquid, Polymarket, Kalshi, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Sui and TON. The company says the proceeds will fund more data sources, verification upgrades, and expansion into robotics and AI training data.
Why it matters
For teams building agents, the round points to data reliability as a product category of its own. Buyers may start asking where a feed came from, who vouches for it, and how access is controlled, and per-response confidence scoring is one answer to those questions. Agent builders should also expect per-call pricing to appear alongside flat API contracts, which changes how they model data costs in their pipelines.
For sellers and investors, the terms matter. Providers that publish feeds may earn per call, but they may also have to stake tokens, which ties their economics to a token that has not launched yet. Investors in the SAFE receive token entitlements rather than conventional equity, and with no valuation disclosed, the entry price cannot be compared with other seed rounds. Funds backing AI infrastructure should ask whether the thesis rests on data quality or on the token design.
