Crunchy Data
Crunchy Data offers enterprise-grade open-source PostgreSQL: managed cloud Postgres (Crunchy Bridge), Postgres on Kubernetes, hardened production databases and subscription support. Its customers include Kyndryl, Thales, UPS and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and it has a record of FedRAMP-compliant deployments. It was founded in 2012 and had about 100 employees. Investors included Alsop Louie Partners, Gray Ventures, Harbert Growth Partners and Heavybit. In June 2025 Snowflake acquired it for a reported ~$250M (not confirmed by Snowflake), and its technology became the basis for Snowflake Postgres.
