Razorpay offers a payment gateway that accepts cards, netbanking, UPI and wallets. It also offers RazorpayX for current accounts, payouts and payroll, plus working-capital loans. Its customers range from startups and SMBs to large enterprises in e-commerce, education, SaaS and financial services. It earns money mainly from transaction fees and financial-services products. Founded in 2014 by Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar, it became a unicorn in 2020. It has raised roughly $740–816M in total, depending on the source, and was valued at about $7.5B in 2022. Inc42 reports revenue of about ₹2,500 Cr for FY24, and estimates of headcount run from about 3,000 to 4,000.
