Question of GTM Tools
Hi all,
My company is looking for a consultant who has turned early, top-of-funnel interest into paying signups for early-stage B2B SaaS companies. We looking to market our new product line that sells AI-created expert systems for transactional document creation into the financial services and insurance verticals. The AI does the building, and the client's domain experts guide the AI and validate/refine the resulting system.
Our GTM awareness engine is working. Since July 1 we've generated over 1,200 website visitors, nearly 200 companies engaged and in contact with us through cold outreach, and over 1,500 LinkedIn impressions on our posts.
Our challenge is conversion - we need help turning the interest we're generating into companies that sign up for Free Trial accounts on the service.
We're looking for a consultant to help us diagnose where prospects drop off between first touch and signup and guide us on tightening our offers, calls to action, and signup paths.
We'd like to find someone with a track record of converting early pipeline into signups at a seed to Series B B2B SaaS company who can help us with hands-on efforts, not just strategy, and is open to a contracted consulting engagement. We'd ideally like to find someone with experience selling into regulated buyers (financial services, insurance, retirement plans).
If anyone knows of a consultant or company that provides this kind of service, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks.

Nearly 200 companies in contact with you since July 1 tells me the interest is real, so the leak is probably in the step between that first conversation and the free trial. People at banks and insurers often can't sign up for a new tool on their own without compliance getting involved, so a trial you set up together on a call could make it much easier for their experts to say yes.
Thanks for your thoughts on this. What we're finding is that all of the engagement with prospects at the moment for this product (it's between $149 and $695 per month depending on tier) is digital and not by phone. We've found that calling into prospects rarely works as people just don't answer their phone much now if they do not recognize the caller or company name. So, we have multiple-open / multiple-click, back-and-forth- conversations by email with prospects, but no phone conversations. Does this change the thinking on what's needed to create enough interest to motivate a Free Trial? I appreciate your insights. This one has us puzzled - it's just such a different world in the last 3 years with B2B software. And at these price points and a focus on SMBs, so different than our core enterprise-focused business that we've become so adapted to for GTM motions.
I would be down for this, happy to chat!
Tom Regan Tom take a look. You might be perfect for this.

Not pitching, just a pattern I'd check first. With regulated buyers the trial step itself is heavy, because nobody wants to upload real client documents into a tool they met last week. A sandbox trial preloaded with a sample document set (say, a sample insurance endorsement) that produces a finished output in five minutes removes that fear. Put a short security and data handling note right next to the signup button: where documents are stored, retention, compliance status. Then measure each step separately (landing, pricing view, signup start, first generated document), the biggest drop tells you where to work. At $149 to $695 a month I'd also test a 20 minute walkthrough CTA next to the free trial, finance teams often want to see it before they create an account.
