Interactive demos convert better than feature lists. Anyone else seeing this?
This week I replaced a section of static feature cards on my site with a phone you can actually use: pick a plumber, restaurant or salon, then get a live quote, tap to order, or book a stylist. People now play with it instead of scrolling past.
Has anyone measured the difference between a "try it" demo and a features list on their own landing page?

Give each trade its own link to that phone demo, so a salon owner you pitch opens it straight to the book-a-stylist screen and a plumber lands right on the live quote. Seeing their own type of business working on a phone in the first five seconds will sell harder than any page of features, and you can track which trade clicks through the most.
Great idea. The demo already has tabs, so a link per trade that opens straight to the salon or plumber screen is an easy add.
Easy way to measure it: send GA4 events for demo opened, demo finished (quote shown, booking tapped) and contact clicked, then compare contact rate for people who touched the demo against those who did not, plus against the two weeks before the change. One SEO caveat: a demo rendered in JavaScript is mostly invisible to Google, so keep a short text version of the features under it, otherwise the page can lose the words it ranked for. And if you take Ryan's idea of one link per trade, make each one a real page ("salon website demo", "plumber quote website") with its own title. We see the same pattern on our side: pages where people can do something rank and convert better than pages that only describe it.
Super useful, especially the SEO point. I hadn't thought about Google not seeing the JavaScript demo. Adding a short text version under it and tracking demo opened, demo finished and contact clicked.
