I've been working on a project called VakilDost™, and I wanted to share a little about what I'm trying to build
During my work as a lawyer in India, I've come across a recurring problem. People often have genuine legal concerns but don't know where to begin. They may have documents, messages, or other evidence, yet struggle to understand what those actually mean for their case.
That observation led me to start VakilDost.
I'm building it as an AI-powered legal platform focused on a simple question: It's one thing to know what the law says, but can you actually prove your case?
The platform currently offers AI assisted legal guidance, document drafting, and resources on Indian laws. My focus now is improving its ability to evaluate facts, identify gaps in evidence, and provide guidance grounded in reliable legal sources.
I'm approaching this as a lawyer who is learning to build technology, rather than a technologist trying to understand law. That brings its own challenges, particularly when accuracy and trust matter so much.
It's still a work in progress, and I'm aware there's plenty to improve.
I'm sharing it here because I'd value perspectives from people building AI products, particularly those working on reliability, verification, and real-world applications.
If you have a few minutes to explore it, I'd genuinely appreciate your thoughts.

"Can you actually prove it" is a great angle, and it is also your best distribution channel. People search for very specific problems in Hindi and Hinglish (cheque bounce notice, online fraud complaint, deposit not returned by landlord), so one page per problem with a short "what evidence you need" checklist will match those searches far better than a general AI legal assistant page. Legal is a high trust topic for Google, so put your enrollment details and a "reviewed by" line with a date on every page, and cite the exact act and section for each claim. That same structure is also what AI Overviews and ChatGPT tend to quote. Once Search Console has a few weeks of data, our free SEO Radar can show which of those pages are close to page one: promopilot.link/en/seo-radar
Thanks, Aleksandr. Really appreciate your thoughtful feedback. You've made a good point about focusing on specific legal problems rather than building just another general AI legal assistant. That's exactly what I'm trying to achieve with VakilDost. I want people to not only understand their legal position but also know what they can actually prove and what evidence they might be missing. Your suggestion about Hindi and Hinglish content makes a lot of sense, especially for Indian users. I'll definitely be working more on that. Thanks again for taking the time to share these insights
"Can you actually prove your case" is a much sharper angle than just explaining the law. Does the platform tell people which evidence is missing, or only judge what they upload?
That's exactly the problem I'm trying to solve, Miles. Right now, VakilDost can identify missing facts and suggest what evidence someone should look for, even without uploading documents. Document review is something I plan to add, but I don't want the platform to simply analyse whatever a user uploads. I want it to help people figure out what they should have in the first place. Someone might have a valid legal claim but no idea how to prove it. Bridging that gap is really the goal behind VakilDost's Legal Proof Map. Appreciate you bringing this up. It's an important distinction
