Voted hybrid. For PromoPilot (SEO / link building) we ended up with a prepaid balance plus a fixed price per outcome: you pay per page you promote ($30 for a standard campaign), not per seat or per token, and an optional Pro subscription that gives a discount and unlimited checks in the tools. Two lessons: SMB customers understand "price per page / per keyword" instantly, while credits confuse them; and the inference cost varies a lot per job, so we priced the outcome with a margin for the worst case instead of exposing raw usage. Keyword research is the one place where pure usage works well for us, because people think in words anyway ($0.005 per keyword returned). Curious what others see on churn with credits vs outcome pricing.
