Most AI startups don't need more AI. They need more taste.

Everyone is racing to add AI to everything.
AI agents. AI wrappers. AI copilots. AI-powered everything.

But here's what I find interesting: two founders can have access to exactly the same models, tools, and APIs, yet one builds something people love while the other builds something nobody uses.

The difference isn't necessarily the technology.
It's understanding people, identifying real problems, and building an experience worth returning to.

We're entering a world where building software is getting easier every month.

So, if everyone can build, what actually separates great founders from everyone else?

I'd love to hear some genuinely unpopular takes.

You want a truly unpopular take without the corporate fluff? Here’s the brutal reality check: Taste' won't save you when your face is already in the dirt. Right now, the AI space is a meat grinder. Because building an agent costs literally nothing, the market is crawling with cheap wrappers, half-baked clones, and tutorial-built toys. Everyone thinks they're a founder until the first real systemic wall hits them. Here is the hard truth nobody likes to talk about: 1. 'Taste' is a luxury. If you have backing, capital, or a red-carpet network, you can afford to polish 'user experience' and call it genius. 2. Real survival is Infrastructure & Rigor. If you’re building from scratch without a golden parachute, your only weapon isn't pretty UI—it's iron-clad, risk-proofed, multi-systemic architecture. 3. The market is rigged for noise. You can build a masterpiece of sovereign technology, but if you don't fight like hell and grind with zero mercy, you’ll stay invisible for a decade while wrappers collect seed rounds. You either build foundational, bulletproof systems that survive the hype crash, or you’re just another tourist making noise in a sandbox. No sugarcoating
