TechTyra: a decade in banking data, now founding in Melbourne
My background is in banking, data analytics, reporting and operational improvement. After more than a decade working with business processes and data, I founded TechTyra in 2026 to build practical AI tools for small businesses and individuals.
Our approach is simple: if existing software doesn't solve a problem properly, explore building something that does.
What I'm building:
- MoneyRescue: An AI-powered financial assistance tool developed for the DeveloperWeek New York 2026 Hackathon.
- ComplaintMate: Helping consumers prepare, manage and follow up on complaints.
- ReelUnpack: Turning online videos into useful, searchable information.
- ChatPrune: Organising AI conversation histories into useful knowledge. This project has been part of two hackathons.
- Bespoke AI solutions: Exploring workflow automation and practical AI tools for small businesses.
What's working:
AI-assisted development has allowed me to turn ideas into working applications without a traditional development team. I'm learning a lot about product development, testing, integrations and cloud infrastructure along the way.
What I'm looking for:
I'm now focusing on taking products beyond development into real-world use and sustainable revenue.
I'd love to connect with founders who have experience finding their first paying customers, validating pricing or launching products. I'm also interested in exchanging feedback and testing each other's tools. Looking forward to meeting fellow founders, especially those in Melbourne!

Which of your four products, MoneyRescue, ComplaintMate, ReelUnpack or ChatPrune, already has someone outside a hackathon asking to keep using it?
Good question, Ryan, and it's exactly where I'm trying to shift my focus. So far, most of the progress has been on building, testing and validating the products rather than establishing repeat paying users. ComplaintMate and ReelUnpack are the two I'm particularly interested in taking through real customer testing. ComplaintMate addresses a problem I've personally experienced, while ReelUnpack has already reached working product and payment-flow testing. I haven't yet established strong evidence of repeat usage from independent customers, so I don't want to overstate traction. Would be interested to hear how you approached getting your first few genuine users before investing too much more in development.
