Shipped: Pipeline Metrics to Predict Revenue
The pipeline metrics that predict revenue are leading indicators, not closed-won totals: pipeline velocity, new pipeline created, win rate, average deal size, sales cycle length, stage conversion, and pipeline coverage ratio. Pipeline velocity folds opportunity count, win rate, deal size, and cycle length into a single revenue-per-day number, which is why it is the most useful one to track.

Pipeline velocity is a clean summary, but it can hide which lever moved. If it jumps because of a few large deals, the forecast gets noisy. Does your Claude Code build break velocity out by segment or stage, or only track the blended number?
100% agree. The build splits velocity by segment and by source and then breaks each one into its four inputs. Opps, win rate, ACV and cycle days. You'll see exactly which lever moves, and I track this with an agent that debriefs me at the end of each week and month
