Hi from Kyiv: building an SEO autopilot for small businesses

Hi everyone, I'm Aleksandr, solo founder of PromoPilot (promopilot.link) from Ukraine.

The problem I kept seeing: small businesses and affiliates know they need links and content, but they have no idea which page to push. So they buy random backlinks and wait.

PromoPilot tries to fix that end to end:

  • SEO Radar connects to Google Search Console and GA4 and points at the pages closest to page one, the ones where a push actually pays off.
  • Then it runs tiered link building on exactly those pages: AI writes unique articles, publishes them across Web 2.0 platforms, reinforces them with a second tier and tracks indexing.
  • Pulse shows before and after for every campaign: positions, clicks, domain authority and real-user Core Web Vitals.

There are also 100+ free SEO and AI tools on the site (AI detector, humanizer, SynthID and watermark checkers), apps for iOS and Android and a public API. Most of the code is written together with Claude Code.

What I'd love to talk about:

  • GEO and AI search visibility: what is actually moving citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews for you?
  • Distribution for SMB tools on a small budget
  • Agencies interested in a white-label link building engine

Happy to give honest feedback on anyone's SEO setup in return. Glad to be here!

Welcome to Lounge, Aleksandr. Starting from Search Console to find pages sitting just off page one is a smart way to aim link building. Since Web 2.0 tiers can be a risk for SMBs, how do you decide when a push is worth it versus when on-page fixes are enough?

Thanks Ryan! Honestly, a lot of pages don't need links first, and Radar tries to say so. Roughly how it decides per page: (1) not indexed or canonicalised elsewhere: no links at all, fix indexing first, Radar drops these from the plan; (2) two or three of your own pages ranking for the same query: consolidate and interlink before pushing anything; (3) ranks 8-30 with real impressions but the page is weaker than what's above it (intent mismatch, thin content, weak title/CTR): on-page first, the page breakdown shows what's missing and who outranks you; (4) the page is solid and on-topic and the gap is mostly authority: that's where a push pays off. On the Web 2.0 risk: only 5 first-tier articles link to the client's page, each unique and written for that page's topic. The second tier and crowd signals point at those articles, not at the site, and every placement is in the report with a live URL. Then Pulse shows whether the page actually moved, and if it didn't, the next budget goes into the page itself rather than more links.

I am fascinated with what you are doing. My SEO setup remains a work in progress. Since March, I have been building out GSR Network, a collection of AI-assisted newsrooms backed by journalistic integrity. Being a one-man shop, as you can understand, sends me into all areas of the business. Never thought I'd learn about Python, GitHub, and Vercel in my life ... yet here I am at 62 years old. Anyway, I wanted to comment here and let you know that you are seen and heard. As an aside, I hope you are safe. Thanks.

Thank you Joe, that means a lot, and we are OK here. Respect for picking up Python and Vercel at 62, that is exactly the one-person-shop reality. For a news network a few things pay off early: NewsArticle schema with a real author and publish/modified dates, an author page for each writer with their background (trust matters a lot for news), a news sitemap with only the last 48 hours of articles, and making sure each site is verified in Search Console so you can see which stories get impressions. Also check that Vercel serves full HTML to crawlers, not an empty shell filled by JavaScript. Happy to look at one of the sites if you want a second pair of eyes.
