Riverside Agents: A team of AI agents for video: produce, edit, clip, post
Riverside, a content creation platform that the company says is used by Spotify, NBC and the New York Times, launched Riverside Agents on October 26, 2026. The company calls it the first AI production team built only for video. The four agents are a Producer that preps a session and supports the host while recording, an Editor that builds an editing plan for the full episode and works through it with the creator, a Clipper that flags moments worth sharing and prepares them for social, and a Marketer that writes captions and show notes before publishing or scheduling episodes and clips.
The agents can pass work to one another. If a request reaches the wrong specialist, the agent can hand it over, such as sending a Magic Clips request from the Producer to the Clipper. The Editor and Clipper can apply saved branding, including a logo, background and caption style. Work can start once a recording uploads, and the agents can be opened from the Home page or alongside the Planner, Editor and Hosting areas. On iOS they sit under an Agents tab.
Access is bundled into existing subscriptions. Agents are included in every Riverside plan with a 14-day free trial, but some capabilities depend on the plan tier, and AI-credit features such as video enhancement still draw on credits. The announcement gives no separate price for the agents. The launch drew 214 upvotes and 9 comments on Product Hunt.
Why it matters
For founders building AI tools for creators, the launch shows a established platform moving from single AI features to a set of agents that cover prep, editing, clipping and distribution in sequence. The human approval step is a product decision as much as a safety feature. Nothing goes live without sign-off, which lowers the risk of publishing errors and makes the workflow easier to sell to teams that need review. Operators should also note that the agents only work inside Riverside, so any process built around them depends on a single vendor.
For investors, the pricing signal matters most. Riverside is folding agents into plans it already sells, while still metering AI credits for some features. That suggests usage-based costs remain even when access is bundled. Standalone clipping and editing products that charge separately now face a competitor that already has a recording base and distribution inside the same subscription. Founders in this category should track how credits and plan tiers affect their own margins.
