About LocalGlobe

History and team

LocalGlobe is a London venture firm within the Phoenix Court Group. Wikipedia's entry on Robin Klein says he and his son Saul founded it in April 2015, but directory listings give other years, including 1999, 2002 and 2019, so the founding date varies by source. Crunchbase names Robin Klein and Saul Klein as its founders. Tracxn and StartupIntros list partners including Will Neale, Pierre-Yves Meerschman, Ziv Reichert, Tom Lambert and Michael Mashkautsan. In June 2022 the group said it expected $500M at its first close across four vehicles: LocalGlobe for seed to Series A, Latitude for later growth rounds, and two newer funds, Solar and Basecamp. Earlier LocalGlobe funds were LocalGlobe 7 at £45m (2015) and LocalGlobe 8 at £70m (2017).

AI investing

The clearest public AI deal is Trent AI, a London agentic security startup that came out of stealth in April 2026 with a €11 million ($13 million) seed round led by LocalGlobe and Cambridge Innovation Capital. Its platform secures AI agents across their lifecycle. Venturemap describes LocalGlobe as a generalist pre-seed and seed investor that backs European founders in AI, among other sectors. Public sources do not name a partner who leads the firm's AI work.

Stages and check sizes

LocalGlobe invests at pre-seed and seed. F4's firm profile lists a check size of $100K to $1.5M and stages of pre-seed and seed; this is a third-party listing, not a figure the firm has published. The group's later-stage fund, Latitude, was described in 2022 as investing at Series B and later.
