Medidata sells a unified SaaS clinical development platform (Rave EDC, Patient Cloud, Acorn AI analytics, protocol optimization) to pharma, biotech, medical device and diagnostics companies, and to academic researchers. It says it has supported more than 38,000 trials and 12 million patients, and serves about 2,300 customers with over 1 million registered users. It was acquired by Dassault Systèmes in October 2019 for about $6.4B and now operates as a Dassault brand. Its last independent annual revenue figure was $636M (2018). Headcount is about 2,800.
