Abridge emerged from the Pittsburgh Health Data Alliance, a collaboration involving UPMC, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Pittsburgh. The platform captures and transcribes patient-clinician conversations in real time, converting them into clinically useful and billable notes. Abridge integrates seamlessly with electronic medical records (EMRs), including direct integration with Epic, to streamline documentation workflows.
