FLO EV Charging
FLO, formerly AddÉnergie, was founded in Quebec City in 2009 by Louis Tremblay. It sells home, commercial and DC fast chargers (including the NEVI- and Buy America-compliant FLO Ultra) and network management software. It also operates the FLO public charging network, earning revenue from hardware sales, network services and charging fees. In June 2024 it raised $136M in long-term capital, mainly a Series E led by Export Development Canada, with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), BDC and Energy Impact Partners also taking part. A May 2026 press release announced an auction of manufacturing and testing assets from 'FLO EV Charging Operations', which suggests restructuring. Headcount fell from about 463 in 2023 to about 185 in April 2026, per third-party trackers.
