Smartsheet makes a spreadsheet-style work management platform. It includes automation, collaboration, reporting, resource and portfolio management, and AI capabilities. Customers include large enterprises, government, construction, financial services, education and nonprofits, and the company says more than 85% of the Fortune 500 use it. It sells through paid SaaS subscriptions. It reported about $958M in revenue for fiscal 2024. It went public on the NYSE in 2018 and was taken private in a deal led by Blackstone and Vista Equity Partners that was announced in 2024 and closed in January 2025. It had roughly 4,000 employees in 2026.
