Green Hills Software
Green Hills Software sells safety- and security-certified real-time operating systems, hypervisors, compilers and development tools to aerospace, defense, automotive and industrial makers.
Green Hills Software, founded in 1982, makes the INTEGRITY and INTEGRITY-178 real-time operating systems, the µ-velOSity RTOS, the MULTI IDE, C/C++ compilers and hypervisors for embedded systems. Customers include military/avionics, automotive, medical, industrial and networking companies. It is privately held and earns money from software licenses, tools and services. In 2008 INTEGRITY-178 became the first OS certified to NIAP EAL 6+ High Robustness. In 2026 it announced integrations with AMD's Versal AI Edge Gen 2 and Northrop Grumman's EGI-M, and it has roughly 265 employees. It is an embedded-software firm, not primarily an AI company.
