About Axeda

Axeda built the Axeda Machine Cloud and ServiceLink platforms. These let manufacturers and service providers connect machines securely to the cloud, monitor them remotely, service them and push over-the-air updates. It served more than 150 customers in sectors such as medical, life sciences, semiconductor, and print and imaging. It sold software as a service and licensed software, plus consulting and support. It raised about $21–32M in total, including a 2013 Series B, and PTC bought it in July 2014 (reported at about $170M). It is an IoT company, not an AI company, and now operates as part of PTC's ThingWorx business.
