Introducing myself and the Value Hexagram: using AI to explore complex questions
Hello everyone, I’m Henry Peyret, creator of the Value Hexagram — Hexagramme de Valeur.
I’m interested in how AI can help us question our assumptions, explore different worldviews, and develop better ways of working and living together—not simply produce faster answers.
The Value Hexagram grew from a question: what if a difficult problem requires a change of perspective before it requires a solution?
It is an interactive map connecting concepts across five domains: human life and society, information, living systems, spirituality, and knowledge traditions from around the world. Rather than organising everything into separate disciplines, it explores tensions such as individual versus collective, signal versus meaning, and human versus computational approaches.
These tensions are not necessarily choices where one side must defeat the other. Inspired in part by Mary Parker Follett’s idea of creative integration, the aim is to explore alternatives that address the legitimate needs behind both positions, rather than settle too quickly for a compromise.
The current version also offers an optional way to work with an external LLM. A short questioning prompt and a compact knowledge corpus help clarify a real problem and explore eight alternative pathways. The intention is not to turn AI into an oracle: facts, interpretations, values, and speculative possibilities need to remain distinguishable, with judgment and responsibility staying with people.
I’m also exploring a future direction, Hexagram MOSAIC, involving knowledge graphs that preserve sources, context, and different interpretations—not just connections between concepts. This remains a research direction, rather than a finished capability.
You can explore the English or French interface here:

I’d welcome a conversation with anyone working on knowledge graphs, collective intelligence, human–AI interaction, or sensemaking.
How do you design AI tools that help people reconsider the question—not just answer it?

Welcome, Henry I love the idea that AI should help us see from new perspectives, not just give answers.
