Viral glasses let you talk without speaking
Welcome back, Superhuman. A new AI startup is tackling a surprisingly relatable problem: you want to use voice dictation, but hate talking out loud in public. Their solution? Glasses that can read your silent whispers, letting you dictate text without making a sound. The demo blew up online, pulling in more than 11M views this weekend.
Today: The Biological Computing Company’s first model, how to turn a repetitive work task into an internal app, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.
TODAY IN AI
1. New startup launches glasses that let you talk without making a sound: Subvocal’s glasses send radar signals through your face while you mouth words, capturing micro-muscle movements and converting them into text at 200 words per minute. This allows you to dictate text, prompt AI, or even communicate with other people wearing Subvocal glasses without saying anything out loud. The demo went viral, racking up over 11M views. See how they work.
2. TBC reveals its first AI model shaped by research on living neurons: The Biological Computing Company (TBC) spent four years studying how real brain cells compute, then used those learnings to build more efficient AI models. Its first release, Mischief, costs 0.5 cents per second, which the lab claims makes it the cheapest image-to-video model on marketplaces like Fal and OpenRouter. Try it here.
3. Anthropic adds a watermark to older models and adjusts its plans: To stay compliant with EU regulations, Anthropic said it plans to start watermarking text from Claude Mythos 5, Opus 4.7, Opus 4.6, and Sonnet 4.6, with all newer models also carrying the mark. The lab also updated its plan names: Max 5x, its $100/month option, is now Max, and Max 20x, its $200/month plan, is now Ultra. Alongside the update, the lab also eliminated 5-hour usage limits for verified Ultra subscribers.

TUTORIAL
How to turn a repetitive work task into a mini internal app with Claude Opus 5.5

Open Claude > Settings > Capabilities and make sure Create and edit files / Cloud code execution is enabled.
Go to Artifacts > Create new, or start a normal chat and ask Claude to build a custom interactive Artifact.
Upload a real example of the repetitive work, such as a CSV, brief, form, checklist, or sample output the app should reproduce.
Sample Prompt:“Build a reusable internal app for [task]. Let users upload or paste [input], then automatically [process/transform/check] it and return [output]. Add fields for [variables], a clear Run button, validation for missing inputs, and an export/copy option. Keep the interface simple for non-technical coworkers and preserve data between sessions where useful.”
Open the Artifact beside the chat and test the full flow with real inputs: enter data > run task > review result > edit > export.
Use the chat beside the Artifact to fix edge cases, add buttons, change fields, or connect supported apps such as Google Calendar, Asana, or Slack if the workflow needs live data.
Save the finished Artifact in your Artifacts tab and share it with coworkers so they can run the same workflow without rebuilding it each time.
FROM THE FRONTIER
Reddit’s CEO confirmed a trend everyone’s been waiting for — and sent his company’s stock price plummeting 30%

Made with Midjourney
On Reddit’s latest earnings call, CEO Steve Huffman said Google’s AI Mode no longer drives traffic to Reddit — “not for us, and not to anybody as far as I know.” That’s a warning for the millions of businesses that rely on Google to send them customers.
The internet’s ChatGPT era is here. For two decades, the web has run on the same business model: search engines send users to websites, and those websites monetize the traffic. ChatGPT’s launch in 2022 began to break that deal, and fresh evidence shows the shift is happening fast:
Reddit has lost an average of 1M search referrals per week, a trend Huffman expects to continue. In response, he’s planning to require users to sign in if they want to view Reddit’s content.
Google isn’t immune either. On its own earnings call, Google admitted that AI Mode searches earn less ad revenue than traditional searches, helping slow Search revenue growth from 17% to 12% even as queries hit a five-year high.
Not all ad giants are struggling. Meta, which doesn’t depend on Google for traffic, saw revenue jump 26% last quarter with the company crediting its AI investments with driving better ad performance. The internet as we know it is shifting. Companies that own their audience have fared well, while those that don’t are racing to adjust.
