Voyage AI
Voyage AI builds embedding models and rerankers that improve retrieval accuracy for RAG and semantic search. It also offers domain-specific models for code, finance and legal. It sells them through a usage-based API, and customers included Harvey, Vanta, Replit and SK Telecom. The company raised a $20M Series A led by CRV in 2024, for about $28M in total funding. MongoDB acquired it in February 2025 for a reported ~$220M and is integrating the models into Atlas. The API continues under the Voyage AI brand.
