Own (formerly OwnBackup) sells automated backup, rapid recovery, compliance and sandbox-seeding tools for SaaS data. It started with Salesforce and later expanded to Microsoft Dynamics and ServiceNow. It runs on a B2B subscription model and served over 6,000 customers by 2023. Revenue was reported at about $250M a year in 2024. It raised roughly $507M in total. Salesforce agreed in September 2024 to buy it for $1.9B in cash. PitchBook records the deal as dated November 2024.
