Nuvei, formerly Pivotal Payments, sells modular payment technology. It covers a gateway, global acquiring and processing, alternative payment methods, payouts, card issuing, open banking, digital-asset payments, and fraud and risk tools. It serves e-commerce, retail, travel, financial services, gaming and crypto merchants, as well as software platforms and ISOs. It earns revenue mainly from transaction-based processing fees. Advent International took it private in 2024 in a deal valuing it at about US$6.3B. It reported about US$1.19B in revenue in 2023. In June 2026 it agreed to buy Payoneer for about US$2.75B, expected to close in mid-2027. In 2026 it also announced agentic-payments work with Visa.
