Luminary
Luminary Cloud sells a cloud-based Physics AI platform, including a Physics AI Model Factory with an AI-assisted notebook. Engineers use it to generate simulation data, train and validate AI models, and run them to explore and optimize designs such as aircraft, cars and electronics. Customers include Joby Aviation, Otto Aerospace and Sceye, in sectors such as aerospace and defense, automotive and industrial manufacturing. It raised a $72M Series B in 2025 led by N47 with Sutter Hill Ventures and NVentures, and Tracxn puts its total funding at about $187M. The company is subscription-based and had about 71 employees as of May 2026. Several unrelated companies are also called Luminary, including an estate-planning AI startup in New York. I chose this one because it is the best-funded and most prominent AI company of that name.
