It also runs an affiliate marketing network and multi-currency payment processing. It earns money mainly through transaction fees on creator sales. The company was founded in 2011 in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and its legal parent is Dutch, with registered offices in Amsterdam. Tracxn reports a $130M Series C in March 2021 at a $1B valuation, with investors including General Atlantic and TCV. Hotmart reports more than $10B in content sales and sales in 188 countries. It is a SaaS and payments platform, not an AI company.
