Dunia Innovations operates a closed-loop platform that combines physics-informed AI, lab automation and simulation to design and test materials, including electrocatalysts for green hydrogen and CO2 conversion, batteries and semiconductors. It partners with industrial customers to co-develop and license the resulting materials. It raised $11.5M in October 2024 in a round co-led by Elaia and redalpine, and also received EIC and IBB grants. Its second-generation IRIS platform went live in May 2025, and in 2026 it announced plans for a €280M, 6,000 m² autonomous GigaLab in Berlin, expected to begin operating in 2028.
