About Alan

Alan (legal entity Alan Insurance SA) sells health insurance mainly through a B2B2C model, where employers buy plans that cover their staff, and it also serves freelancers and self-employed people. Founded in 2016 by Jean-Charles Samuelian-Werve and Charles Gorintin, it became the first new independent French health insurer licensed in about 30 years. It reported €785M ARR in 2025 (up 53%) and over one million members, and it was valued at €5B in 2026 after a €100M raise, with a reported June 2026 Series G at about €5.5B.
