VK Pay
VK Pay is a digital wallet and payments service inside the VKontakte social network. Consumers and small businesses use it to pay, transfer money and accept payments.
VK Pay launched in June 2018 as a payment platform built into VKontakte, owned by VK (formerly Mail.ru Group). It lets users pay in VK communities and partner online stores, and lets sellers, mainly small and medium businesses, accept payments. It launched with no commission on deposits, withdrawals or transfers, with Gazprombank covering those costs. Later additions included instalment credit with Home Credit Bank (2020) and cashback. The business is a fee-light fintech layer that increases engagement and commerce across the VK ecosystem. It is not an AI company. One third-party source cites over 70 million users, and the figure is unverified.
