What it does

expo-dom lets you use web-only libraries (charts, syntax highlighters, rich editors) directly in Expo apps by rendering them in a webview on native platforms and as-is on web. Reach for it when you need specific web libraries, complex HTML/CSS layouts, or incremental migration from web to native. It's your bridge for bringing React web components to mobile without rewriting.

  • Embed web-only libraries (recharts, chart.js, react-syntax-highlighter) in native Expo apps
  • Render web code verbatim in webviews on iOS/Android while staying native on web
  • Handle complex CSS layouts, iframes, embeds, and Canvas/WebGL graphics unavailable in React Native
  • Incrementally migrate existing web components to mobile—full app migration uses expo-web-to-native
