Notion: Context for your agents: Switch AI agents without re-explaining your work
Database owners can control which properties each person or agent can view or edit. Synced databases now support GitHub, Jira, and Salesforce, with live health status monitoring. The Skills API lets teams load shared skill files into agents such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok Bot, and an open-source starter kit syncs those skills into GitHub. Version history now highlights edits and provides detailed database change logs, with attribution for both human and agent changes. Version 1.7.0 of the skills CLI added Notion as an install source for agent skills. For founders, the pitch is portability: context and skills sit outside any single model, so switching vendors does not require rewriting instructions. The trade-off is concentration. Access to Notion-hosted agent skills follows Notion's existing page permissions. A loose share therefore reaches every agent that reads the page, so permission design becomes part of agent security.
