Red Dot Capital
About Red Dot Capital
Israeli growth investor.
Red Dot Capital Partners was founded in 2016 by Yoram Oron, who also founded Vertex Ventures Israel, and Yaniv Stern. The first fund raised $151 million. A second fund of about $200 million was reported from SEC filings, and it launched in 2020. The third flagship fund closed at $320 million in July 2025, above its $250 million target, after a first close in January 2024. Assets under management are reported at $750 million. The firm also runs an Opportunity Fund for follow-on investments in existing portfolio companies. The partners are Oron and Stern (founding partners), Barak Salomon (managing partner), and Atad Peled and Danielle Ardon Baratz (partners). Its investors include Temasek.
Red Dot is sector-agnostic apart from biotech, pharma and medical devices, and AI is one of several focus areas alongside fintech, cyber, enterprise software and deep tech. Ardon Baratz leads investments in areas including AI infrastructure and enterprise software. Peled leads in areas including DevOps, cybersecurity and enterprise IT, and he spoke for the firm on the Velocity seed. In a 2025 CTech survey, Ardon Baratz said the firm had not yet had a major AI exit. She said the strongest AI companies in its portfolio solve a real problem inside a workflow and think commercially from day one. Recent AI deals include a co-led $27 million seed in Velocity (July 2026) and a $410 million Series D at DriveNets (2026), which the firm announced as part of what it called the AI infrastructure race.
Red Dot typically meets founders from the Seed stage and leads Series A to C rounds. It targets companies with $1 million to $5 million in annual revenue. Initial investments typically range from $10 million to $20 million, according to the Fund III announcement. Velocity's $27 million seed was an exception to the usual stage, and Red Dot co-led it with NFX. The firm invests mainly in Israeli companies, and the Fund III announcement also mentions Europe. No ownership targets are public.
