MiraclePlus began as Y Combinator China, which Lu Qi led after joining Y Combinator in August 2018. Y Combinator announced in November 2019 that it was closing YC China. Lu and the YC China team then set up MiraclePlus as an independent firm. One Hacker News comment from that month pointed to an SEC filing showing about $55M raised by MiraclePlus. We could not confirm the details of that filing, so treat the figure as unverified. PitBook lists a vehicle called Miracle Plus RMB Fund II, with 77 recorded investments. The firm does not publish its fund sizes. The firm's site names Lu Qi, Luan Yunming and Mao Shengbo as partners. Tracxn also lists Cao Xuwen as a partner, and Tracxn counts a team of 18. MiraclePlus does not publish which partner leads AI deals.
AI is one of many sectors at MiraclePlus. Its biography on Baidu Baike says it has backed over 500 startups across 38 frontier technology fields, including AI, robotics, large models and quantum computing. Unicorn Nest's analytics list Artificial Intelligence as one of its larger industry categories by deal count. The AI rounds on the Lounge deals desk are small, early rounds from 2026. Examples are a CNY 100M seed for Ruilian Intelligent Computing and a CNY 100M angel round for Qisu Technology. Kulan Dreamweaver raised a CNY 30M seed. MiraclePlus also joined a large later-stage round: the RMB 1.625B first equity round at MHX, the chip subsidiary of Li Auto, in October 2026. Press reports that round was led by Hangzhou Jingtao, BlueRun Ventures and Huaye Tiancheng. Tracxn shows co-investors including Sequoia Capital China, ByteDance and Techstars on some deals.
The firm's standard accelerator deal is $300,000, or the RMB equivalent, for about 7% equity. It invests first, then works with founders for about three months before a Demo Day. Its site says it has run 10 batches and invested in 612 startups. Tracxn puts its tracked rounds at Angel, Seed, Series A and Series B. It reports average round sizes of about $6.1M for Seed and $7.1M for Series A, but those are totals for the whole round, not MiraclePlus's own check.
