VerSe Innovation is a Bengaluru-based content technology company that builds AI-driven local-language platforms. Its flagship apps are Dailyhunt (news and content aggregation) and Josh (short video). It serves Indian vernacular-language consumers, creators and advertisers. It earns most of its revenue from advertising (about 80% of operating revenue in FY25), plus subscriptions and virtual asset sales. Consolidated revenue was Rs 2,071 crore in FY25, up 64% from Rs 1,261 crore in FY24. It raised $805M in April 2022 at about a $5B valuation, led by CPP Investments. Tracxn puts total funding at about $1.9B. It cut staff in 2025 as it restructured toward AI.
