Sutherland
Sutherland is a privately held, experience-led digital transformation and business process services firm. It combines consulting, customer experience operations, IT and managed services with proprietary AI and agentic AI platforms. In March 2026 it launched FinAI Hub, an agentic AI offering for banking and financial services. Customers are mainly large enterprises, and revenue comes from services and managed-service contracts. It was founded in 1986 by Dilip Vellodi, who is still chair and CEO. Headcount is about 40,000 (Forbes and PitchBook, 2025), though Revelio Labs estimates about 68,000 for March 2026. It reports 363 inventions with patents in AI and emerging technology.
