Palo Alto, United States · ≈51–100 (2026) employees · rune.energy

Rune builds RELIC (Renewable Energy Linked Intelligent Compute), a modular DC-native compute system installed at renewable generation sites. It runs GPUs on clipped or curtailed electricity, with no grid connection or site construction needed. Customers are AI compute buyers, and renewable plant owners get a new way to earn from surplus power. In September 2026 it raised a $40M Series A led by Spark Capital, with Union Square Ventures and Lowercarbon Capital participating, bringing total funding to about $53.5M. It also announced a RELIC deployment at a 200 MW solar facility in Texas.
