Mercor
Mercor runs an AI-driven platform that sources, vets and pays domain experts, such as engineers, lawyers and consultants, for remote work. It started as an AI hiring platform and pivoted to data labeling and RLHF work for AI labs including OpenAI and Anthropic. It earns money by taking a cut, roughly 30–35%, of the spend routed to its contractors. It raised a $350M Series C at a $10B valuation in October 2025, and was reported in July 2026 to be in talks at about $20B. Sacra estimates it reached about $2B in annualized gross revenue in June 2026.
