Lyten
Lyten is a San Jose-based supermaterial applications company. It makes lithium-sulfur cells and 3D graphene materials, and since 2025–26 it also makes lithium-ion batteries and battery energy storage systems (BESS) at former Northvolt sites in Sweden and Poland. Customers include drone, autonomous-system and defense buyers, plus BESS and data-center customers. The company is privately held and has raised over $625M in equity by 2026, with letters of intent for up to $650M in EXIM Bank financing. It completed the Northvolt Ett and Labs acquisitions in February 2026 and holds more than 1,100 granted or pending patents.
