Branch Energy
Branch Energy, a Houston company, builds Arc, a parking-space-sized "grid in a box" holding a battery, grid connection equipment, cooling and cloud-run controls. Branch installs Arc at warehouses, hotels and factories with no upfront payment from the host, and also becomes the host's retail electricity provider. It earns revenue by dispatching stored power to the grid or to contracted buyers such as hyperscale data centers. It raised a $4.5M seed in 2021, a $10.8M Series A in 2024 and a $33M Series B in September 2026, led by Piva Capital and Clean Energy Ventures. The Series B funds expansion from Texas into Illinois and PJM territory.
