Sourcegraph sells a code intelligence platform, with code search and AI coding tools, to developers and large enterprises that work in big, complex codebases.
Sourcegraph, founded in 2013 by Quinn Slack and Beyang Liu, makes Code Search and the Cody AI assistant for searching, understanding and changing code across large repositories. It sells cloud and self-hosted enterprise subscriptions. In 2025 it discontinued new Cody accounts and launched the Amp coding agent, which was spun off as a separate company in December 2025. It has raised about $223M in total, and its $125M Series D in 2021 valued it at about $2.6B. Third-party estimates put it at roughly $50M ARR and 150–185 employees.
