Silk
Silk sells a software-defined cloud storage and data platform that speeds up enterprise databases and AI workloads on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
Silk's platform sits between enterprise workloads (Oracle, SQL Server, AI/analytics) and public-cloud storage. It claims up to 10x faster I/O at lower cost. Its Silk Echo product gives zero-footprint copies of production data for AI, analytics and dev/test. Customers include healthcare, financial services and eCommerce firms, and it sells through software licensing and cloud marketplaces. The company began in 2008 as Kaminario and is led by founder and CEO Dani Golan. In September 2026 it closed a $45M growth capital facility led by Avenue Capital, with Sequoia and others taking part. Tracxn reports about $263M raised in total.
