Moniepoint (formerly TeamApt) offers merchant payment terminals, business and personal banking apps, working-capital loans, and payment infrastructure (Monnify). Its main customers are Nigerian SMEs and agents, and it has expanded into Kenya, the UK and the US. It earns money from transaction and usage fees, plus lending and banking services. It processed over 14 billion transactions worth about ₦412 trillion (~$294B) in 2025. It became a unicorn in 2024 at a $1B+ valuation, and its Series C reached $200M in 2025 with investors including DPI, LeapFrog, Visa, IFC and Google's Africa Investment Fund.
