Kpler
Kpler sells a subscription data and analytics platform giving real-time commodity and maritime trade intelligence to traders, producers, financial institutions and governments.
Kpler aggregates shipping, logistics, commercial and government data, plus satellite and AIS vessel tracking via MarineTraffic. It uses this to provide real-time flows, inventories and freight analytics across 40+ commodities, including crude, LNG, LPG and dry bulk. It earns revenue from B2B subscriptions and has grown through acquisitions: ClipperData (2021), JBC Energy and Core-e (2022), MarineTraffic and FleetMon (2023), and Citac (May 2026). It raised about $200M from Insight Partners and Five Arrows in 2022. Sixth Street bought shares in a June 2026 secondary sale reportedly valuing Kpler at about $3.7B. It has roughly 830–890 employees.
