Carro
Carro runs an AI-enabled online used-car marketplace with financing, insurance and aftersales services for car buyers, sellers and dealers across Asia Pacific.
Carro, founded in Singapore in 2015, runs an online marketplace for buying and selling used cars. It uses proprietary pricing algorithms, AI agents and computer-vision inspection. It also sells financing (Genie), insurance, aftersales, car subscriptions and, since 2025, new cars in Singapore and Malaysia. It earns money from vehicle sales and from financial and aftersales services. The company says it has raised over S$700M from SoftBank Vision Fund, Temasek and sovereign funds. Tracxn lists a $60M Series C extension in September 2025 at a roughly $3B valuation. Carro claims about 120,000 transactions a year and about US$1.4B GMV (2026). It operates in 7 markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and it entered Australia by acquiring CarPlace in 2026. It claims more than 4,500 employees, and reports in mid-2026 said it was considering a US IPO.
