About
I work at the intersection of high-mix manufacturing, decision systems, and autonomy.
I’m co-founder of Quotation Factory and HiggX, where we help metalworking companies solve one of the hardest problems in high-mix environments: making fast, reliable decisions under high variability — starting with quoting but actually 'make factories think' as part of the agentic era.
In high-mix manufacturing, companies don’t struggle because of lack of effort, but because their decision systems don’t scale with complexity:
- Critical decisions depend on a few experts
- Excel, Word, and patchwork tools break under variability
- Sales, engineering, and operations speak different languages
- Errors, delays, and margin leakage are systemic
- The more customized the work, the harder growth becomes
Quoting is simply where these issues become visible first.
At Quotation Factory, we’ve built a high-mix quoting engine that acts as an early intelligence layer in the manufacturing system:
- Quotes created 5–15× faster
- Standardization without losing flexibility
- Technical and cost knowledge captured in one AI-driven system
- Fewer errors and less dependency on individuals
- One shared language between sales, engineering, and operations
For many companies, this becomes their first autonomous decision system.
Through this work, my focus has expanded beyond quoting to a broader question:
How do we build intelligence into manufacturing systems where mix is high, volume is low, and certainty is limited by design?
I refer to this as High-Mix Intelligence:
- Decision systems that work under variability
- Understanding why volume still matters even with autonomy
- Separating where mix originates from where it hurts
- Helping organizations move from expert-dependent to system-driven
This perspective now extends beyond metalworking into the wider world
