Vonage sells programmable communications APIs (voice, messaging, video), unified communications and contact-center software on a cloud platform. It also sells network APIs and AI agents for customer engagement. Its customers are enterprises and developers, with over 100,000 business customers and about 1.6 million registered developers, and it earns usage-based and subscription revenue. Founded in 2001, it was acquired by Ericsson in July 2022 for about US$6.2B enterprise value. It employed about 2,800 people in 2026. Its HQ is in Holmdel, New Jersey, not California.
