Varex Imaging makes X-ray imaging components. These include X-ray tubes, flat-panel digital detectors, high-voltage connectors, collimators and image-processing software. It sells mainly to OEMs and system integrators in two segments, Medical and Industrial. Industrial covers cargo and baggage screening and non-destructive testing. It is publicly traded on Nasdaq as VREX and has been headquartered in Salt Lake City since its 2017 spin-off from Varian. Fiscal 2025 revenue was about $845M, up 4% from 2024, and it employs roughly 2,500 people.
